Re: patch related questions

I can't really help you with graphics and offsets, but as for the patching, it depends on which rom you create the patch from (the ips utlity I use requires you to select a clean rom for comparison as well as the one the patch will create from it). I'd recommend creating the patch from the Japanese ...

Re: Let's Grapple Beetles

They aren't called by their scientific names in-game; RacieB just included those for clarification. They just use their Japanese common names, though I will agree that that's still better than giving them odd made-up names if they're closely modelled on real beetles.

Re: Telefang power-data problem :'(

Yeah, pretty much. They claim you have to keep the game in it (I think on, though I'm not sure if that's necessary) for 100 hours or so to charge it up fully... I'm not sure that's what's really going on with the SP making games magically able to save, though.

Re: Bug Name Discussion Topic

Yeah, we probably should get the main idea for what a Bug page is supposed to look like figured out before we create any new pages or fix up the ones that are already there much... But I guess I sort of made this topic as a reminder to do that some time, too. This was more about getting the list of ...

Re: Bug Name Discussion Topic

You know the one I'm talking about ... the one currently sitting around on Wikifang that looks rather like the flag of the Republic of China right now. Mostly red, with a small patch of white, and only a little blue at the moment. I know Telefang is the main priority here, but since it'd been discus...

Re: Let's Grapple Beetles

Yeah, it is literally 'black metal', but it's commonly used as a word for 'iron', too (shirogane, 'white metal', is used for silver). A lot of Japanese words are like that (idiomatic?); just look at "kiichigo" ('tree strawberry' for 'raspberry') or "mecha" ('eye tea' for 'nonsens...

Re: Beware of the PlayPickle ads!

That really doesn't surprise me. XD
It looked a little too good to be drawn by the advertisers, especially considering how badly edited in that picture of Satoshi/Ash and Pikachu looks in the second one.

I'm curious: has anyone actually been gullible enough to play this game?

Re: Beware of the PlayPickle ads!

I contacted Google through their AdWords page about it (they were both Google ads) and they claim they react to mail like that within a business day or so... that'll probably be more effective if they answer.

Edit: Wow, I already got confirmation e-mails on both! That's probably a good sign.

Re: Beware of the PlayPickle ads!

I've been seeing a lot of PlayPickle.com ads in boards having to do with Pokémon, and, being curious, I decided to click up the site and see what it was (I know, I'm just that gullible sometimes XD). As soon as I noticed that it wanted me to download a adware installer um, an installer for their &qu...

I think (3,3) is a Kabutops rather than a Scyther if you look closely at its back and pose.
