hey i remember long time i had a friend from japan, he had a n64 game called Onegai Monsters which never released in america.

it is very very good game. you start with one monster and it will evolution based on what u feed him, element drops and etc. i don't know how much evolution there is but i remember there is LOT of evolution. (best guess. 20-30 end evolution)

i was wondering if anyone already play this before or interest play it. i really want to play but there is no English sub anywhere on internet :(

I've heard of this game before, I remember looking it up quite a while ago on Wikipedia after coming across it somewhere. I don't know much about it however. Seems like it's one of those obscure monster raising series that was never released overseas. If there's no english translation available there's not much you can do really (except learning to read Japanese ^^;). You won't be able to play the Japanese game on an overseas console since it will be made for Japanese N64's (I think, unless the N64 is region free?).

I love seeing new monster series that never made it out of Japan, it's actually surprising at how many were made.

EDIT: Your post just reminded me of the other monster series I found on the day I looked up Onegai Monsters. One of them was Gramon Battle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tensai_Bit-Kun:_Gramon_Battle). There was another one where you drew your own monsters and battled them, but I can't remember the name at the moment ^^;

EDIT2: I remembered what they were called. I don't know if they were monster RPG's specifically but here they are: Magic Pengel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Pengel) & Graffiti Kingdom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graffiti_Kingdom)

The N64 was region-locked by physical cart differences, iirc (you can get a peripheral to stick Japanese carts in to play them, though I dunno how hard they'd be to find nowadays.)

So it was the shape of the plastic casing? It was just because all of the gameboys had been region free in the past that I wondered if the N64 might have been. That's different to do it by casing shape.

Yep, here's a quick guide showing the differences (and how to mod it if you don't want to use a passthrough cart) http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo/n64/2010/09/how-to-mod-the-n64-to-play-imports-region-mod.html

There's a few playthroughs of the game here on Nicozon (a Japanese video site), if you're interested: http://www.nicozon.net/search/%E3%81%8A%E3%81%AD%E3%81%8C%E3%81%84%E3%83%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC
