Well it requires both Photoshop and Fireworks. You need to crop the image and use smart blur in Photoshop. Then open with Fireworks and set the image's transparency settings to multiply. Most of the colours are coloured vectors below the image layer that show through with the multiply transparency setting. Then the whole thing should be reduced to 120x120. Now line the image with a 1px black line at ~45% opacity and use export wizard to export as a 256 colour gif with either the adaptive or websnap adaptive (don't forget to backup an editable png).Zephyr wrote: 126 is a lot. The problem is you getting the same style with you colouring as the ones I have already done. It takes a while to get the style right.

Are you sure those are their accurate colors?

There is no way to be sure if they are the accurate colours, since there are no coloured official art around. If there were then we wouldn't need to colour them in manually.

I make do with what I am given. There is no way to be accurate when there are no accurate colours for alot of these. Working on the coloured ones as well at the moment.

I wonder why they kept them in black and white?
I wonder if the original creators are still around to ask why?

To cut down on printing costs. Colour pages are more expensive.Kid Sonic wrote: I wonder why they kept them in black and white?

Why? They are not doing any more print runs as these are no longer on the shelves.Kid Sonic wrote:Maybe we could donate money.
