I looked on Taobao for the back of the Chinese Diamond and Jade bootlegs and I managed to find a seller who had posted images of them.

Diamond/Jade (Chinese) Boxart
The back of the Chinese Diamond boxart features 3 screenshots of Telefang Speed (despite the game being a bootleg of Power version). There are also plenty of bootleg images of Kanto Pokemon as well. In the Chinese description text on the back you can make out the Chinese word for D-Shot. The back of the Chinese Jade boxart looks very much like the english bootlegs, with the poorly edited screenshots of Pokemon Red/Blue featuring the Forest Shishigami and Pidgey.

Jade: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=5783619169

Diamond 2/Jade 2 Boxart
There are two variations of the back of the boxart for Diamond 2 and Jade 2. Both have the same 3 screenshots of Telefang 2 on the back and feature either Kris or Gold depending on the version. The image on the back of the first type of boxart is the same as this bootleg: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=11029f*x.3-iLz8.h-4josD&id=2241211393& which incidentally is the same Emerald hack with the Telefang 2 sprites I mentioned a while back. This could possibly mean that the Diamond 2/Jade 2 bootlegs are related, since both used Telefang 2 and the same artwork.

Here's images of the first type:

Diamond 2 (First type): http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=1101__96.3-aUaJ5.h-588z6W&id=1029757726&
Jade 2 (First type): http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=1101__96.3-aUaJ5.h-588z6W&id=1029757692&

The second type features images from the Pokemon Anime. Jade has Ash and Pikachu, while Diamond has Ash riding on the back of Charizard. The copyrights on the box also seem to be different than the first type.

Diamond 2 (Second type): http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=11029f*x.3-iLz8.h-4josD&id=5734545577&
Jade 2 (Second type): http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=5734521395

Very interesting. XD

Again, I wish you would keep these posts to a single topic though. :/ Nobody here would care if you double-post at all.
Also I can't help thinking it would be better to save/upload the pictures you find to another site? I'm not familiar with chinese auction sites, but I don't imagine they'd keep old auction listings archived forever. *shrug*

Sorry, I didn't want to double post in case it was against the rules. No one had said it was ok to do so, so I was just playing safe. Maybe something about double posting could be added to the rules? The ability to update some threads would be very handy as long as it isn't considered spam ^^;
Is it possible that the topics about the boxarts could be merged into one? I do apologise for the multiple topics. I tend to find things sporadically as well, and with believing that double posting wasn't allowed, my topics became more spread out than I intended.

The reason I haven't saved any of the pictures is because i'm worried that some may be copyrighted, and it might be wrong to take them without the owner's permission, even though they would just be used to document the bootlegs. I have copies of the Chinese Diamond and Jade ready to ship soon, so i'll have pictures of them to put on the wiki. Unfortunately I don't have any of Diamond 2/Jade 2, everywhere had sold out. A lot of the sellers on Taobao keep their auctions up for a long time after selling all of their stock. Even if they have none left, the auction is still kept up for some reason. It's very handy for looking for bootleg images that way.

We have actually went over this, in this thread.

For one, while the very existence of the bootlegs might be against copyright (god knows how it applies in China though), the auctioneer owns pretty much no rights to these photos and even if they did, downloading them constitutes fair use. I recommend saving them, because I've already seen some links from your old topics die off.

Although the bootlegs may not be owned by the auctioneer, the photos they have taken of them are owned by them, which is why I don't save them to my computer immediately. I'm sorry if it seems like an inconvenience, but I always like to make sure first, which isn't a bad thing. I'm sorry if some of the old links have died by now, but I didn't know that would happen. A few of the topics I posted did not have many replies or interest before, and no one had requested the images at all.

Again, i'm sorry about the double posting thing, but i'm a cautious person and I don't like to break rules, especially if i'm unsure of something. Now that I know it's ok to update threads, i'll be doing so. And don't worry, I do remember the conversation in the previous thread. It wasn't specifically denied or confirmed that double posting was allowed for updating. I thought it was a casual mention of the rules perhaps being changed to allow it, rather than a definite 'yes, you can double post to update'. I do think it would be good to add a rule about it to the site rules though in case anyone asks.

@KenjutheDenjuu

You've been researching on taoboa.com for days, haven't you? ^_^

All these information is very good, and well said.

Thanks! It's become my new home lately xD

Taobao is like a big bootleg central for information and boxart. Not everyone posts the back of the boxes in their auctions, but it's really handy when they do. Ruten is a similar site as well, but it's Taiwanese instead of Chinese. There's tons of stuff on there too.

I've got them!

They just arrived yesterday: http://postimage.org/gallery/15cnb4j2/eb9a2d8c/

Instead of one of the alternate Diamond boxarts I got given a Chinese Pokemon Crystal instead.

There's also alternate boxart for Pokemon Diamond 2 and Jade 2 that features Latios and Lugia. The 3 diamonds also make an appearance too. These came with very thin manuals that were literally 2 pages stapled together. The logo is also edited from the Japanese/Chinese Pokemon Emerald: http://postimage.org/gallery/d3uemrs/a0f37452/

There's also screenshots of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl on the back of both boxes, which would probably mean this bootleg was made around or after the games came out.

Ha yes, sounds like the manual that came with X-Man Armour of Might (which consisted only of an explanation of the controls.)
