Naturally I'm referring to the layout. It looks like the forum got switched to another software of some sort. What was behind this?

ZetaBoards was purchased by Tapatalk and all of it's forums were migrated over to the Tapatalk platform. The reason why we haven't migrated to something else yet is because most of us use the Telefang.net Discord nowadays. It's still a long-term to-do on our part, though.

I don't hate the Tapatalk platform, but it's far less... themed than it should be. I haven't yet asked Racie if we can theme Tapatalk at all or not.

Just spent more than half an hour mucking around with at least 7 different passwords and multiple recovery emails to multiple different email addresses in order to finally log back in. I already forget the details of how I got in and why I needed to jump through all those hoops and don't want to remember them, but this place's future doesn't look very bright anymore if everyone's going to have to do this. Not to mention, it said that my account would be deleted next January if I hadn't spontaneously decided to do all this Tapatalk nonsense by then!!

Granted, I still don't hate it as much as Discord, and hope to never hate a discussion platform as much as Discord, so is there some sort of plan to revive and maintain a forum-like platform for this community, or "fix" this current one somehow? Both this series and this place are too special to me to see it go...

So... I'm guessing Tapatalk finally wore out its welcome? Good to see the old forum design back (even if I don't visit here as often as I used to).

As much as I prefer the forum setup to Discord, it honestly might have been better simply to link to the Discord channel instead of making a new forum given how dead said forums have been.

It's good to have a live archive of all the discussions over the past ten plus years. And some topics are naturally more suited for long form discussion. But it's most likely that all of us are just nostalgic for internet forums. I still believe the three pillars of a real community are forum, wiki, and chat. :crypto:

Haven't used a forum like this in years, but I remember coming here quite often to check up on updates and info. It's good to see that all of that has been archived.

Also, it's good to have a forum like this just in case Discord takes a hit and goes offline for a bit.

That reminds me: is there an archive of the "live chat" or whatever that used to be at the top of the Board Index?

Speaking of, might wanna sticky a link to said Discord channel to the top of the Board Index so people who find this place first won't think that basically the whole community's inactive.
