In the bootleg they use 3 words: t-mildew,midew-t and t-midew.
Which one is the good one and what do they mean?

I've read something about that somewhere.
Don't remember.
I think it's a translation error or something.
It makes no sense.

It's a terrible mistranslation of "T-Fanger". As in Telefanger.

I have a theory on exactly how this happened:

"Fanger" is written in Japanese as:
Image
or "FANGAA".

If you were to change (or misread) one letter, you'd instead get:
Image
or "FANGAI".
Which translates to "Fungi".

Now, it's obvious that the bootleggers have no grasp at all on the English language, so they probably wouldn't have seen the problem with using a different word that means the same thing. Mildew is a type of fungus. It's possible their dictionary had them both in the same entry. So, they decided to use "Mildew" instead of "Fungi".

This is probably how most of the game is translated. They misread the Japanese, translate it to the wrong English word, and then mispell it for the entire game.

But somehow they read Fungus as Fangs, now didn't they? xD Talk about a mix-up, eh?
