I was thinking of putting a certain colour for a background in infoboxes that will match the type.

For example, Mountain-type Denjuu would have an infobox with a brown background, fire-type moves would have a red background. So I need to decide on the colours for it. And yes, the text must still be readable.

Let's start with my ideas

Forest - #99CC00
Mountain - #CC9933
Aquatic - #99CCFF
Sky - #CCFFFF
Grassland - #66CC33
Desert - #FFCC99

Moves
Normal - #CCCCCC

Any suggestions/improvements?

I like that idea. Try it and see how it turns out. If it makes the text too hard to read then just brighten it. And doesn't Bulbapedia do the same thing? O_o

They do that for the cities only, I think (like Saffron City gets saffron, etc. you get the idea).
