Yet another quirk of the bootleg games

I was looking through the edit history of the Wikipedia article of Telefang, and I found this edit:

Basically, on early bootlegs, you couldn't even go past the first screen because it would crash. How are you even supposed to play that? I don't think the bootlegger(s) even test out this game. It seems that they just make the cartridges just to make money without realizing that it doesn't even work!
