How does giving denjuu preferred items work?
I know that in some calls we get nice info about what items some denjuu like. My first thought was that they meant items that you're supposed to use in evolution so you'll receive a lot of exp, but then I also remembered that there is a "gift" mechanic, where you can simply give an item to a denjuu as a gift (kinda like held items in Pokemon I guess). So I'd like to ask, what is the effect if you give a denjuu an item they're said to like, if any at all?

the preferred item is for exp. on those shop that allow fusion, you can also give items in order for denjuu to gain exp. giving a compatible item will grant 50% of the current required exp for level up. while giving a favourite item grant you around 87.5%? of the current required exp.
for example, at level 38, you need 370 exp to reach level 39. if you use a compatible item, you will gain 185 exp. even if you already exceed the exp required to level up, you will still gain 185 exp only until the max 999. if you use a favourite item, you will gain around 323 exp (i'm not sure how they do the rounding)
gifting item to denjuu meanwhile from the inventory increase FD (or friendship). but you can easily max out the FD so personally i don't gift, unless you want to quickly reduce the effect of the personality at the start (such as those coming late to battle, lost on the way etc)
