I think a portion of GBA carts use EEPROM to save, so in such cases no save data is lost. Although timer operations still require the use of an internal battery. Whether your GBA cart's save will expire depends on the cart.

I'm kinda scared for my MMBN games, I put all my heart into those games when I was a kid.. I play them once a year or so, for now they are still active. what is EEPROM

Basically, EEPROM is a type of memory that doesn't require constant power to retain information. The way battery saves work, the information is lost when it's cut off from its power source (eg. the battery is removed, or gets drained over time.)

I see, is there a place I can check what games use this method?

Are you talking to me? well i'll answer it anyway, I can read perfect hiragana and katakana, I know 120 (and growing) kanjis and I can understand japanese pretty well overall.
Still studying though.
that is very interesting, could i ask you if you would mind looking at the telefang manga's Kimbles has here, and try to translate them, not saying you should, but that would be helpful ^_^
