It seems I'm late to the party; regardless, congrats on reaching v100!

(I'd raise a wine glass for v101, but I know it'll take more than just one more version to make a perfect translation patch.)

Just got back to playing it after a long hiatus & corrupted drive - no idea which gb game though, maybe too much gamesharking =)

Some of the secret denjuu still cant say much other than a number when called.

also, how will be named the last version? full or vXXX (X for numbers)?

I discovered this project just now, and I can't possibly express how impressed I am. I used to play the bootlegged version ages ago. I always loved the gameplay, music and generally cozy athmosphere. I never got far though, mostly due to the horrible (if hilarious) translation. But this seems awesome!

I just tried it out really quickly (version 100), and I noticed that text looked really strange whenever capital letters were used, basically the capital letter and the following letter were written sort of on top of eachother. I was using an emulator on my Android phone (GBCoid) so perhaps the emulator is to blame. All screenshots I've seen of the translation have looked great so I guess this isn't common?

Yeah, that's probably an emulator issue. That's weird that it's only on capital letters though, I can't think how the code would treat them any differently?

Actually, after further testing, this appears on every emulator I try. So the issue is propbably with the ROM here. Maybe I patched it incorrectly somehow? I used JIPS to patch it. I'll try again in another way and see if that helps.

EDIT: Yep, it was a patching problem. Don't use JIPS :)

nameless attack can be used, just a text issue


for swampert - attack 4 is always denma, but if i put a denma attack into other slots it functions as a normal attack, no charging needed

Five things..
1. How did you trigger these issues?
2. Did you load up your game with a save state or by the in-game save (.sav)?
3. Can you please give me your .sav file so that I can test these issues.
4. What emulator were you using?
5. Denma attacks are defined as such by the slot in which they are inserted rather than the move used. Since this is all pre-set it doesn't harm anything. It's a silly way of doing things but it is normal behaviour.

Normal gameplay - after getting denjuu phone numbers, calling them to feed items or remove excess contacts

2. Did you load up your game with a save state or by the in-game save (.sav)?
Use the continue option in game

3. Can you please give me your .sav file so that I can test these issues.

bgb - its worked pretty well for me so far


The note for swampert is to maybe remove the note in the denjuu editor that says denma attack needs charging when in any slot.
