You don't have to memorize hex codes - what I do is open the default Windows Calculator, put it in Scientific mode (check it under the View menu), type the Denjuu number (for example, Punisto is #125) then hit the Hex button (which shows 125 as 7D).

If the gameshark code will cooperate then yes All you would need to do is set it to say, find wild Tsunonasu, catch one, then set it to find Fungus, etc, until you got all of the species you can't normally find in Power.
