Just a thought I had yesterday, but the light green colour of the cover is the exact same shade of green as the background of the bootleg title screens. I wonder if that was intentional?

EDIT: Also part of the Chinese text on the front describes the guide as a combo guide for both Diamond and Jade. Google translate comes in handy xD

The art of the Diamond Snake and the Jade Shishigami are both taken from the Chinese boxart. They really love reusing them for just about anything ^^; The multicoloured title at the top reads 'Kou Dai Guai Shou', which means 'Pocket Monsters'. I'm not sure what the other text on the front means, there's quite a lot of it. I do spy the word 'combo' in there though. Maybe it's mentioning general stuff about the guide?

The same word for 'combo' is present in the green text on the bottom half of the book. It's also in black lettering underneath those large red characters.

It's to do with the book covering both Diamond and Jade together. That's why it's called a combo guide.
