Hi, guys!
I just started playing your patch and also noticed a glitch that was already reported before (something about first letter of Denjuu name missing). I noticed that this happens especially after attacking.
It's like: CRYPTO - attack - RYPTO - go KESHI - attack - ESHI - go CRYPTO bla bla bla
But this is not the only problem, I also never get to see an enemy sprite, it's just blank space.
I just got this after entering the cave in Tulunk (2nd room with the guy in it):

Stuck and creepy glitch music (random beeeeeeeeps)..
Maybe it just happened because I turbo'd a bit in VBA..
A call from Keshi saved me, it works again

First off, welcome to the forums! You have an interesting name. I think you're the first one to pick a Japanese name.
We are aware of that problem you mentioned, as well as some others,
here. These bugs are most likely a result of a variable width font hack that Malias programmed. I would remind him to fix it (since almost nobody else knows how to), but he hasn't been here in months, unfortunately.
I don't recall the latest patch without the font hack (i.e. where it's fixed with just like in the original Japanese version), but someone here does.

Thanks!
I read the post you linked, but didn't see anything about the no-enemy-problem.
(and just noticed that the call-freeze was mentioned in the shoutbox quotes..)
I will go and find the last patch without the hack
I wish I knew anything about hacking and help you all >.> I want to play this game in a non-Engrish version so bad!
Maybe I will look into it after my exams
Enjoy your curry and don't lose some points of 23!

I remember the no enemy problem from years ago! I got it in the bootleg..
I think you are using an old version of VBA. Try getting a new one.

I have no idea how old my VBA is / if there is a new version for Mac, but I will try it, thank you!
'Edit': it seemed to be the newest one.. >.> well, I don't care as long as it works

Hello everyone, I've been following this thread for over a year now, and I must say you all have done a great work and I appreciate your efforts for this project, but it seems you've reached a dead end, unfortunately.
So I have a proposition, why not start by completing the english translation and leave the tricky part of translating menus and screens for later, that way at least we could have a playable game.
Thanks,
Eisen.

That's the part I was working on, but I won't be able to continue it until the summer when I have some more time, sadly. >_<

Why are the menus so difficult to translate? Is it just the programming involved or what?
Oh and also, I know somebody wondered about the "Here's my phone number" thing near the beginning of this thread.
The original game text is: "Omae tsuyoi na! Denwa bango oshieteyaru yo." which translates to "You are strong! I will teach [you my] phone number!"
Oshieru = to teach, to instruct; yaru = to do
Does that help?
I'd love to help you guys translate but I haven't the slightest clue how to get into the game and mess with all of the programming stuff. If I knew, I'd go in and translate all of those menus. ^_^
