I just recorded some of the opening moments of the game. There is no audio with this video, but I assure you it is just regular Telefang audio.
Really aside from visual changes to the denjuu the game is unchanged. Unlike Diamond/Jade there are no bugs that stop you from dialing or selecting names for denjuu. If you have any questions about the game I'd be happy to answer them.

Are you able to have a go at dumping it again when you get the time?

I did actually have another couple of attempts at that with no success (although I am no expert on dumping games). Is there some sort of memory viewer or denjuu editor that could be used to find any extra info from the incomplete dump? If not I could try and ask around for people who know more about this than me.

Here's a patch made of the dump ElkFish made with the things sorted out andwhyisit figured out. It seems to work fine so far, I hope anyone who wants to try it out will enjoy it.

I am glad to hear that. I was pretty disappointed when I found that I couldn't get a functional rom when I first bought the game.
