The working text dumps/translations are hosted on Wikifang. XD The text re-inserter just reads the english column out the the tables, here. *nod*
http://wikifang.meowcorp.us/wiki/Wikifang:Telefang_1_Translation_Patch/Text_dump

The bank you're looking for is here:
http://wikifang.meowcorp.us/wiki/Wikifang:Telefang_1_Translation_Patch/Text_dump/114000

They're wiki pages, so you can edit it whenever you release a new patch that changes the E5 codes. XD It would be better for you to update it since you know exactly what you're changing. *nod*

In other news, Kurinon is just about translated and I'm starting to move on to Iris...XD I've been proofreading it as I go, but it'd still be be helpful for other people to look it over and check for typos and awkward wording and stuff....*nod*

The line reads as "«&0xd4b1» appeared!«*5»" in wikifang, but read as d440 in v74. Odd.

Anyway I'll run through all those late tomorrow.

I'd like to take a look though to confirm though. What's the address of the ld you changed?
I know exactly what it's reading.. There's just 8 bytes, no trailing E0 unless I'd write it.
Now I can't find it, though. Moved D440, huh? It had plenty space, d420 was the problem -- which is why I after some code copying the move name from D440 to D420 reset the pointer back to D440 for what's then copied in D4C1.

My mistake, I changed it a bit later and thought I fixed Wikifang as well. D:
This bank is getting a bit confusing with the E5 changes, yeah.. but at least the others are stable :D

Version 77:

* Kurinon Village done! Story, NPCs and even unused text. Kimbles probably knows better than me, by this point. XD

Nope they were both overwriting values stored in ram just after the end of the name. It's likely the same for D420 and D4B1 as well. Though all of these likely wouldn't manifest as bugs until later on in the game.

D420 and D4B1 are next on my agenda in any case. Then I'll take a look at this missing E0.

Well, I was testing v77 out to see how the Kurinon translations looked, and noticed a few... issues.

I got into a battle with a wild Noriutsugi, but instead of saying its attack quote normally, it said "Noriutsug" followed by about 20 blank text boxes (seriously), followed by a bit of garbage and "Here I go, hoo". It actually made the battles take an absurdly long time, and seemed to get longer with each turn. >_> On its third turn I was worried it was going to be stuck spewing blank boxes forever, but after a while of mashing A with speed-up it finally said "Here I go, hoo" in sloooowwww motion. D: Kind of disturbing. Apparently all Noriutsugis now act like this.

After that I decided to check out how the naming fix is working.
Image
The new "default" name shows up as one blank space. You can type letters in afterwards, but they don't show up and seem to have no affect on the name. D: If you backspace to the mystery letter and type something over it, you can then type normally and nickname it like normal. *nod*

The default nicknames work properly in most places, but stuff with names over 6 letters are still a bit messy. D: (I really wanted to test a Noriutsugi, but they're a bit hard to fight, so...)
Image
Like before, letters typed after are invisible and have no effect on how the name shows up elsewhere.
Image
It turns out as "Monster" with no centering...
Image
Except for this screen where it's just "Monste".
It's worth noting that wild Monsteras act totally normal, but the default named ones behave exactly like a Noriutsugi on their arrive/attack/experience messages. :/ "Monster" indeed...

Another bug I've noticed is that all Denjuu names on the recent calls screen show up as "A".
Image
I got calls from a Netaro I got in a previous patch (all caps name) and a Keshi using the new default name, and they both showed up as A.
Image
When you call them, they both show up as PUNICA. Everyone you call is always a PUNICA.

Image Image
It seems to work fine when the Denjuu calls you, though. :/ Even when it's Monstera!

That's all I got...XD I'm sure all of these issues are being worked on, but that's where things currently stand. *nod* Pretty buggy, guys!

I got the same problem like Kimbles, when i get into a fight with a Denju whichs name is longer than 6 letters the game starts to spawn blank message boxes.
I can't play the game properly, because my Crypto recently evolved and now it's name has 7 letters, so at every action, that affects him, those blank boxes come up.

I'm pretty sure that I know the source of around half of those bugs, so I'll start fixing 'em tonight.

v78:
http://www.mediafire.com/?bsyvsbslglgwouc

Address 0:3D8B
Changed ld bc,0007 to ld bc,0011
Fixes garbage text by stopping the copied entry from being truncated before the trailing E0.

Address 0:3E3F
Changed ld b,08 to ld b,10
Increases printed characters for the status screen.

Address 1C:575D (7175D)
Changed ld b,06 to ld b,10
Increases printed characters for the pre-battle Denjuu selection screen.

Address 5:4313 (14313)
Changed ld b,06 to ld b,10
Increases printed characters for the in-battle Denjuu name that appears above the health bar.

This should do for tonight. I'll work on the other bugs tomorrow.

@Kimbles:
Mind lending me that save? I am not getting the A, nor the PUNICA at the moment, just an empty space where the name should be.

Also I still haven't gotten round to changing the E5 codes in the wiki yet. Sorry 'bout that.

EDIT: Wait.. why didn't that merge?
