Awesome, I was starting to get a little worried.

Kmeist was occupied for 4 days and the patch was rolled late. Also the words "at least ten" in the notes are super deceptive. 85 full phone conversations were translated this release. That's somewhere between 580 and 600 messages in the spreadsheet. Only a small number of the most difficult to translate phone conversations are remaining. Obskyr really bunkered down.

• Made the scrolling arrows on long SMS messages bob. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)
• Fixed an issue where multi-line questions may not display their choice arrows. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)

Also my apologies for saying "at least ten". I intended for it to come off as obviously understated but it text doesn't work that way.

Nice to see the translation part of the translation patch making progress. ☺

At this point, I think I'll just wait for the whole thing to be completed, then start a new save file.

I just began a new game on the Power version with the latest patch, v123, and the shop attendants say weird stuff. If I try to speak to them they say "/0x13c0da/". It's my first time playing the legit English patch so I'm not sure if this was always like that.

EDIT: It happened again with a different npc and a different code.

Yeah, the translation is far from complete (that "123" means it's the one-hundred-and-twenty-third version of the patch, not that it's version one-point-twenty-three), and that "/0x13c0da/" is just a placeholder so the translation team knows where in the ROM that particular string is. You shouldn't need anything from the shops to progress through the main game, though (except for, like, one part, and that part should have the necessary strings translated).

EDIT: Oh yeah should I keep playing? Is the game completable at this stage? Should I just wait until it's finished?

The translation drops off at the start of Paparouna Lake currently. So no, it isn't completable at this stage.

• Menus have been reorganized and touched up. (Thanks, obskyr!)
• Colors now display correctly on the title menu in SGB mode.
  • The sound menu also works, but returning to the main menu screws things up.
• Negative status afflictions now display the correct article. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)
• Evolution-related screens now display numbers correctly. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)
  • This also includes the "MAX" experience indicator, which screwed up the above indicators even more.
• Translation text has been updated and revisedaugmented. (Thanks, obskyr!)
  • Fusion is now called "augmentation", with Fusion evolution changing name to "Bionic evolution". Items and phone calls dependent on this nomenclature have been adjusted accordingly.
  • The phrasing of some other phone calls has been adjusted.
  • Key items now use bold text. (Also thanks to andwhyisit for making bold text possible!)
• Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
  • Location names displayed after traveling to a new area no longer cause the main script text to display in narrow font.
  • SMS scroll performance has improved. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)
  • In certain situations, junk would display at the start of messages initiated by routines that did not correctly initialize the text machinery. We added protections against this happening. (Thanks, andwhyisit!)
  • Font spacing has been adjusted slightly. (Thanks, obskyr!)
