A Question about the Emerald Cloning glitch

On the Cloning glitch on Emerald I heard that if you clone a pokemon you already cloned it will disappear. I like to know, Is it true?

ok thanks. On G/S/C if you clone too many the names will get messed up. I did and I had a msessed up named Tyflosion.
