It's almost as if you'd expect a community dedicated to a game that's mostly notorious for being agonizingly bootlegged as a PokéMon title to KNOW about amusing PokéMon bootlegs... >>;

Haha, I can
hear the sarcasm radiating from Stellarwind's post.
Makes you wonder why they go through the trouble of translating it or butchering it when there are perfectly translated copies out there that you could always illegally duplicate or whatever. Is it a hack of crystal, or a mock-up that plays exactly like Crystal but... isn't?

It was in fact one of the first bootleg translations of the Japanese Crystal, before the game was released in English (and before other, better and more coherent translations were made). To this day I'm amused that some fucktards actually tried carting and selling the thing...
Sarcasm makes everything a little better. ^_^

I've got some bootlegged Pokemon Gold which is just a simple English translation of the Japanese version. I don't understand why they need to do so when there's already an English one. And the names of the pokemon are the jap ones shortened to six charaters.
They call berry a nut, a potion a potio! And Prof Elm tells you right away that you are going to get a Pokedex from Oak in Mr Pokemons house! lol
At some times the text will be screwed because not everything was translated.

I wish I could play this thing so that I can see how bad the translation is...
I've seen a video of it, and within a couple of minutes of playing the game, it has the one swear word that the fake Telefang doesn't have...

Well, berry into nut isn't entirely far-fetched. The berries were called 'kinomi' which may translate to either 'berry', 'nut' or even 'fruit'. >>;
