Any justification for branched mod evolutions?

Howdy folks! I've been playing Telefang 1 for years and enjoying the game for its sense of freedom and infinite adventure, soundtrack and experimentation factor (very rewarding to find a working mod evolution combo for sure!).

Recently I've been perusing Wikiafang and learning all the intricacies of the game. Like discussed already in another thread, I've noticed that mod evolved Denjuu are almost always inferior in stats to their naturally evolved branches (or ones done using DNA). Of course if there's only a single path (like with Octorifle or Saiguliger), then mod evolving is a no-brainer, but for example Cryptoknight has way superior stats to Cryptosnipe.

So I'm thinking - could the "machine-like" Denma attacks be what compensates for the lower stats? Denjuu without machine modifications often use Denma attacks such as Mini/Mega Bolt; Rock/Mega Rock; Mini/Mega Flame etc., the latter of which I'm led to believe are meant to be quite strong in their own right. But Denjuu with modded characteristics often have military themed Denma attacks instead, such as Plasma Laser, Pulse Beam, Mega Launcher, Missile Pod and many more - sometimes idiosyncratic and restricted to that single Denjuu, even.

So my question is - are those technological Denma attacks supposed to be even more powerful than those natural or "elemental" ones? Is there something like base power that those Denma attacks have? If so, can a list of that be found somewhere? Wikiafang sadly doesn't have info of that kind. I'd be grateful for any help! Cheers!

Hi! I think the advantage of mod evos is supposed to be that you can obtain them much faster than natural ones. I never actually compared the strengths of their respective Denma moves, but you can see all of them here at Wikifang (Wikiafang is long abandoned/deprecated.)

Yeah, I did get to read that list in the meantime. Most of those machine denma attacks seem to have a power of 20, which is inferior to 30 of the stronger elemental attacks. That is quite a bummer if true, because that makes the mod evolved Denjuu inferior in literally any way - especially since when it comes to cultivated Denjuu, you're able to evolve them with Grapplite around the same time you can mod evolve them anyway.
