Due to the influx of spam (read: stupid pointless annoying messages) on this board, I have decided to make it so that users now have to confirm their e-mails when registering. There was supposedly some spam today, but it looks like one of the admins already took care of it. Hopefully, this change will thwart at least some spammers. (And it also has the added benefit of deterring any people that may have a clear disregard for this forum as well...)
And since e-mails have to be confirmed, it might be easier to contact spammers' ISPs (I'm referring to those who advertise useless products and don't even know what Telefang is, not people making inane posts.)

Yep, that's what I mean. They were getting out of hand.

Yeah, it was a viagrabot, I just killed it and deleted the thread when I noticed it.

Nowhere near as bad as the Cave Story forums were late last year. I remember that being painful.Blaziken257 wrote: Yep, that's what I mean. They were getting out of hand.
Delete the member account for the bots instead of banning them, they can take up space on the members page. Also I would recommend that you delete all member accounts with 0 posts. You have spambots in your member list right now, and a few of them have been there since as far back as early 2008.
