Ah, I see. XD Generally, only u's can be silent, so ku/gu, su/zu, shu/ju, tsu (for a "ts" sound), fu/bu/pu, mu, and ru. *nod* But because there's no straight "tu" letter (only tsu), to/do are used instead for t and d.

Hence, Hamu = ham, Pantsu = pants, and Refuto = left.
