Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this.
Just yesterday, I FINALLY got to replacing the battery in my copy of Telefang Speed (if you talked to me back when on here, my battery died shortly after getting the game brand-new, and I was rather dissapointed

).
The battery was a C2025, the battery used in most GBC games. How long do they typically last [with Telefang]?

I think it lasts about 6 to 7 years so you don't have to worry about it too much.

It should last as long as an original gameboy battery if it's the same make, but I don't know if replacements have a shorter life compared to the original batteries. You're probably safe for about 6-10 years as Fangblade said. That's about the time it generally takes for the gameboy batteries to wear out. Some last longer if you're lucky. It's only a shame they have to keep being replaced because of the clock mechanic, it's really fiddly and complicated to do.

There's two types of batteries you can replace GB/GBC games with, one of them is slightly thicker and supposedly lasts much longer. Unfortunately I don't recall the numbers off the top of my head, though I have some lying around somewhere :<

Darn, I used a regular c2025. But I can play Telefang for now, so I'm happy.
