But homebrew RPG titles for handhelds take a lot of work to the point where few are finished (probably none so far) and only DS users would be able to play it. Hacking the GBA Telefang 2 into Telefang 1 is a far better option.

Well there is a homebrew RPG for the PSP in development called Quinta Essentia and they say that they might release an RPG engine in the process, so maybe the Telefang remake can be for PSP.
