Really? I always thought it had been intact until the translation to English from Chinese. Although, I suppose even the Chinese bootleggers may not have had an entirely brilliant grasp of Japanese. Or the Katakana pronunciation could have thrown them off? I mean, most of the monsters were named after plants and I guess the bootleggers might not have realised.
