Post things about the Telefang series, and aren't about a particular Telefang game here.

I don't think i've seen any since I last bought mine and i'm sure they may even be rarer than the battle denjuu figures since the figures turn up at least once in a while. It'll be interesting to see CGR cover the antenna figure, it would be great for people to know about it being a neat little pre-order item.

Good news everybody!

Mark from CGR will be reviewing the Telefang battle denjuu figures this year, so expect a review in the near future! He let me know by email recently that he was planning to begin filming the footage for the review on the 23rd December. The video should hopefully appear sometimes in the New Year or so.

In the 2014 game of the year awards video that just went live today, the Telefang figures appear in the 'upcoming game reviews for 2015' montage and can also be seen on Mark's desk in the review. Also, it seems the Telefang mangas will be reviewed sometime in the year as well, considering they also appear in the montage at the end of the video.

See the figures here at 2:23 in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-TL3jwAaWE

Hope that this is some positive news for everybody. Happy 2015!

PS: No word on when the games will be reviewed however. I'll be sure to let everyone know if there's any word.

Well, there's no way I couldn't have, seeing as nobody really knows about them much outside of Japan besides the forum members here. Since it's official merchandise, it might get a few more people realising it's not just a bootleg game and actually a real thing.

I couldn't say when the review for the figures will be up, but it should be soon, even perhaps this month, as Mark is planning on filming the review already. It'll just be the editing the video and choosing when to publish it that'll extend the date.

The Telefang mangas may be this month or later in the year, there's no set date at the moment. But Mark is definitely planning on reviewing them soon.

Oh, also, Mark posted an image of one of the figures (Angios) on his twitter because he couldn't find the note I sent him at first and was asking other twitter users what series the figures could be from. I was worried he would do the review without my note but I let him know and he replied within the day and he managed to find it on a shelf full of my donations. In his email reply he let me know he was planning to review the figures and said thankyou for the help. I'm so glad that turned out well!

Wow! So, it's been 5 years since I first donated everything to be reviewed and unfortunately I have some bad news...
CGR has had some financial trouble over the last few years and unfortunately the owner, Mark, has cut back everything to just himself and the main CGR channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/InecomCompany

He is still doing reviews however and is now being funded by Patreon, but if and when the Telefang and other related reviews will show up is now up entirely to Mark himself. Unfortunately, due to Mark's lack of experience with the Japanese language, I doubt they will be showing up anytime soon since he seems to prefer reviewing the English Atari games as those are his forte. It could be anytime that they show up and although this is saddening, I do know he is very interested in the games I have sent, as he has repeatedly told me so when communicating through email. He does plan to review them but is just caught up with too much other stuff to do it soon.

I won't give up hope entirely that they will eventually be reviewed it just won't be as soon as we all hope!

If you want to contribute to his Patreon and keep the show running, i'm sure he'd appreciate it and it would also keep the chance of the reviews happening a reality. The link is here: http://www.Patreon.com/ClassicGameRoom

Thanks everyone!

Damn, that kinda sucks. While I haven't really watched LGR recently, I did always like the videos they make. Hope that either of them will get around to it eventually.

Ouch... though I'm not surprised. YouTube ad revenues went down the toilet a while ago and the only way to make a profit off of YouTube now is to hold five or six different sponsorships with other companies or join the Patreon train.
