You can always get a gameboy later if needs be.

Okay, I'm going to get it.
If I manage to win, I'll send pictures. Of the catridge, of course...
I think some of my friends may have a gameboy, though, so I'll ask them for testing it.

I think that may be a mistake, though. Telefang runs on the old gameboy, right ?

All Gameboy and GBC games also work on GBA and GBA SPs, but not DSes. *nod*

I knew that, but GBC-only games don't run on the old gameboy. Telefang, however, isn't GBC-exclusive \:

I doubt I'll ever find the bootlegs auctioned in my country again, though, so I'll take it even without the box.

Yeah, Telefang works on GB, GBC, and GBA. So yeah, that description is mistaken. (I've learned not to solely rely on product descriptions... the description for the Telefang copy that I got incorrectly stated that it would only run on a Japanese Game Boy, which isn't true!) I always play Telefang on my GBA SP, in case you were wondering...

You don't have any of those? How are you able to play Telefang 2 then? On a DS?

Oh, and just be aware of this: while Pokémon Diamond/Jade will run on a monochrome Game Boy, there are a couple of glitches. First, the title screen will be completely white until it fades out (either by pressing A/Start or waiting for the intro to play). Secondly, the text on the D-Shot screen has an ugly dark gray rectangle around it (see the bottom screenshot here). Just want you to be aware about those glitches.

Alright, I won it for 135 CZK = about $7.6, plus $2.7 shipping.
If I get a chance to playtest it, I'll tell you, though I belive it won't be much different.

It arrived today. I have no ways of testing if it works right now, but meanwhile, here is a high-quality scan.
The colours are actually even more contrasted then on the scan.
Oh, and when I shake it, it makes a weird 'click' sound. D:

Sorry for the triplepost, but I just discovered that, in fact, it's the German version. It really is interesting -- too bad my friend's GBC lasted only about a minute. I'll get some batteries and test it more tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I can tell you that the menu (with the begin, continue, link...) is still in English. No idea if it saves or not.

That is interesting. So a German version does exist! Is it much different? Does it have the same glitches, and what parts are in German and what are in English?
