Yep, I have been working on a Speed patch. It isn't translated as much as Power, but a LOT has still been done so far. So far, the battle text, Denjuu names, items (including descriptions), attacks, statuses, types, personalities, and a small bit of the phone menu text has been translated. (I just copied text from the patched Power ROM and pasted it in the Speed ROM, actually.) I also used a tile editor to create the STATUS text when selecting Denjuu like in the patched Power as well. That's a lot, actually... but I haven't gotten around to the dialog text yet. Oh well. Enjoy it, and I also have screenshots if you don't believe me! And I have a video of the first rival battle coming shortly as well!

Any plans for translating dialogue down the track?

I might, but it's VERY tedious (it involves manipulating pointers), and I can't even read Japanese (but RacieB can recognize Katakana). So, maybe.

That would be a dream come true. It would be first place at the very top of my list of most awaited translations, higher up than even Ys 5, Tales of Phantasia PSX, and Mother 3.
