I don't know where else to put this so:
I want to start a project on RPG maker which is a Telefang Remake with HGSS graphics and sound quality. At the begining you can choose Engrish Version, or English version. So far I have:
Flamethrower sprite
Part of Human World (need help)

Okay.

You'll never finish it. Believe me.

Just think how hard it would be to remake the Telefang engine in Ruby.

Well, it might be easier to change the battle system in RPG Maker than with a rom hack.
But yeah, I would really focus on getting the gameplay working before worrying about the graphics and sound...
