As part of my plan for Telefang to be a Pokemon-oriented spin-off franchise. I'm starting to work on My Telefang 2 Dex, once I finish the regular version.
Soo.. hacking a pokemon rom into a telefang-pokemon hybrid or hacking telefang into a telefang-pokemon hybrid.
No, not hacking. Making a brand new game from scratch.

Games:
Pokemon Telefang (Diamond(working title), Jade, and Topaz)
Pokemon Telefang 2
Pokemon Telefang Arena (Pokemon Stadium game)

What language is it in? Have you got a basic engine done?

Do you even have an idea about the level of work involved? Homebrew RPGs are not very common due to the large amount of work involved.

Lets see.. skills you require:
Programming
Spriting
Map Design
Music Creation
3d Modeling (you did say "Pokemon Stadium game")
Script Writing
Patience

Then again if you just want to just recreate the telefang engine and then modify it to your needs:
Programming
(assembly knowledge would be required along with whatever programming language you want to use )

Personally I think you are being way too ambitious.

Well all of this will happen in the near future. And I could always hire people.

I wouldn't try that option unless you are horribly rich. If you have around $100,000 then go for it.
Though you could better spend that money on funding a Telefang anime, but as a homebrew project to make slight changes to telefang it seems to be a waste.
Then again I doubt you would have that sort of money in the first place.

And unless you are a very good at programming I wouldn't try to write it from scratch either.

Hacking is your best option.

You know, Kid Sonic, I suggest that you just hack a Pokemon ROM base to modify it to Telefang. The best hacks out there with totally different stuff are usually hacked from Pokemon.

And also, Nintendo/Game Freak did such a good job with creating the game that it's quite simple to hack actually. And there are TONS of hacking tools out there totally dedicated to Pokemon hacking.

And it's not for just anyone to create a game from scratch.

I'll try to remember to nag you about it when you turn 37. Uhh... when is that again?

Plenty of people talk about all all the ideas they have and how they are going to "do this" but never get started on it and eventually forget about it. You are looking to be going along that path. No matter what you do, don't try to jump into a field you have no experience in and hope for the best. A better solution is to start off small, do the pokemon hack. If you learn assembly along the way then use it to do advanced hacks, or if you get good enough with it then you can try to learn C++ and start on your game. Even I have failed before with this, don't aim higher than you can reach, just stop talking about it and actually do something. All the planning in the world will not get you anywhere if you don't start.

Look, there's really no need to ridicule me. We're all good pals here, so don't start, please.

I see no ridicule here, just helpful advice. :/

Andwhyisit has a good point, seriously.
