Well, I'm sure that anybody would take this over Pokémon Diamond, which has one of the worst translations known to mankind. Then again, about 90% of the text still needs to be done...

Wait, did you bring this up because of all those Pokémon hacks (like Chaos Black and whatnot) out there? I hope this hack doesn't suffer the same fate!

And thanks! Have you tried it yet? Let me know what you think of it so far!

No, just the part that was in Kimbles's text dump. That's mainly battle text, linking text, evolution text, cutscene text (like at the beginning when they fall down), and some other text you see a lot (like when you obtain items).

There is still a LOT to be done. This game has lots and lots of text. It's not that surprising, though, since it's an RPG...

Okay, first of all, I'm sorry that I haven't been on here for almost a month but I can now see that the patch is now complete. That means I can show off the translated text now but before I can do that...

I may sound silly asking this but... what program do you use to open IPS patch files? :mellow:

Well the way you put it made it sound like a finale.

Basically you apply the ips patch to a telefang power rom with your ips patcher of choice. Be warned though, most of the dialogue text is horribly broken.

The patch is not complete though. The text from Kimble's text dump is what was finally finished, not the entire patch. We still have a long way to go.

Oh yeah, I just remembered something I was messing with earlier. Should the ketsu "seal" when you select Denjuu be changed? Here's what I mean (this was just a mockup, I didn't edit the sprite yet.)

Anyone know where to find the palettes for that seal?

I suppose it could be looked up like any other palette, although I haven't checked yet.. I noticed it just uses black, red, red, and black though >_>;

Don't you mean black, red, a transparency colour and an unused colour.

I don't know if we should go into changing sprites.
