Glitches in my game
- Intro's color's are messed up like in the Diamond intro.
- The game will freeze if I try to perform a soft reset
- The game will turn a black screen and freeze after I call a secret e-monster
- Creating new ring tones is impossible, it's all screechy noises
- Using a gameshark will erase my saved data, even if I don't turn the code effect on
Glitches NOT in my game
- The game can save perfectly
- The game does NOT freeze if I try to use "prop" with no items
- The game does NOT crash after pressing start after a game over
- No vase glitch
-Liz Island works fine
So far this looks like a great game to dump.

All those glitches you mentioned are in Diamond as well. The Ion Island/Liz Island glitch involves a door that locks up when it shouldn't. When you defeat Gypsophi/Gipusofi in Peperi/Bebli Mountains, you need to go to Ion Island/Liz Island next. To get there, you need to enter the antenna tree from Barran/Palan. However, in the bootlegs, sometimes the door to this tree permanently locks up, making it impossible to get there, and therefore, making it impossible to beat the game. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen to everybody. It hasn't happened to me, but it has happened to other people. I don't know what triggers the glitch. Also, nobody knows whether it happens in the Japanese versions or not (again, it hasn't happened to me, and I haven't heard of any reports where it has).

I'm inside Liz Island now.. so that means I don't have the glitch...?Blaziken257 wrote: All those glitches you mentioned are in Diamond as well. Not necessarily. There are two times where you need to go Ion Island/Liz Island. The first time, it seems it always works. The glitch occurs when defeating Gypsophi/Gipusofi, where you're supposed to go back to Ion Island/Liz Island. That's when the door from Barran/Palan to Ion/Liz Island locks up for some people.
And since you're using a cartridge, if it happens to you, then you're pretty much out of luck and you'll need to start over. There are a few workarounds on the ROM though (like using a GameShark code to change the location you're in, or making a ROM patch where you can modify one of the warps to take you to the proper antenna tree).
It still may not happen to you though, so don't be worried.

Yeah, I have all those glitches, except I CAN perform a soft reset. The game didn't save when I got it, but I opened up the cart and put in a new battery and now it saves fine

does your saved file get erased when you use gameshark? It really sucks to have that glitch. :'(swampert22 wrote: Yeah, I have all those glitches, except I CAN perform a soft reset. The game didn't save when I got it, but I opened up the cart and put in a new battery and now it saves fine![]()

I don't think that is a glitch but rather an overdone protection method against save file corruption.SniperNightOwl wrote: does your saved file get erased when you use gameshark? It really sucks to have that glitch. :'(

Yeah, but you can use GameShark codes on an emulator without it erasing the data. You can even use GameShark codes on Diamond.

Well to be honest, I am a bit reluctant to use a GameShark code incase it erases my save. As I am quite far in the game, I want to finish it. Perhaps when I finish I will try a few codes

Re: Glitches I have found in my Jade game so far
I'm not sure, but could the save be erased because of using Diamond codes on Jade? O:
