Hi, again. I've completed my "Telefang Tools." You can get the file here. It includes the compression tools I promised. Running them will produce raw binary data ready for insertion. My original decompression tools are also included, except I've split the program in two and changed the parameters some. See the readme for more info.

OK, that is just AWESOME. You've done the impossible and made it possible to use Latin tiles for the phone screen. Unfortunately, I won't have access to my computer or the Internet for the next few days, but I'll DEFINITELY try this when I get the chance.
Re: (Incomplete) Telefang English Translation
Malias, your tool really is awesome.
Here's a patch with all the map text translated. I didn't do the compressed stuff yet, just finished the labels - they were bothering me. I also had something to test doing pointers (since Blaziken taught me how to do them) XD
I also made "Cancel" in the menu look better again since Andwhyisit probably skipped version 14.1, to go with the soon-to-be-added translated menu.

Re: (Incomplete) Telefang English Translation
I am working on the title screen atm in case anyone wants to know.
Also I want to experiment with bankswitches so that I can do this:
store bank number and 2-byte pointer>call to function in bank0>bankswitch>call function found in the new bank>run function>ret>return from bankswitch>ret
It can help greatly with the space constraints of bank0 by putting the bulk of my code in one of the many empty banks in the rom.

I know you are probably sick of the word "awesome" by now but that is just pure awesome.Malias wrote:Hi, again. I've completed my "Telefang Tools." You can get the file here. Actually the link was (and is) broken, so I had to skip the 14.1 changes at the time. I am sorry, I should have mentioned it.Sanky wrote:I also made "Cancel" in the menu look better again since Andwhyisit probably skipped version 14.1, to go with the soon-to-be-added translated menu.

Thanks... My English sucks.andwhyisit wrote:"Taught".Sanky wrote:teached
Uh-oh. In that case, it's my fault. Sorry! I should check my uploads more thoroughly.wrote:Actually the link was (and is) broken, so I had to skip the 14.1 changes at the time. I am sorry, I should have mentioned it.
The uploads on Sankysoft should be fine, though.

v29:
http://www.mediafire.com/?kotnb5gygmx
I have created some asm code that allows me to run asm code from the previously empty bank 1. I don't have to worry about space problems ever again. Yay!
I pretty much only released it so that I didn't have to port the code later if someone else made a release first.
EDIT:
Compressed fonts are at $DDA48 and $DD7BC if anyone is interested.
EDIT2:
I think we need a link to the wikifang changelog from the first post, it is currently buried under two pages of posts.
EDIT3:
New .bat file.
Just paste it into notepad, save it with the .bat extension, and double-click on it.

Re: (Incomplete) Telefang English Translation
Sigh... once again I was going to look at all of this stuff but sadly I never had time to get around to it. I still don't have time and won't for a couple of days, so what's the ASM code you did? Will it solve this issue of getting some text into unused banks?
And those offsets are very helpful, thank you!
And I like how Sanky translated the map text... that is awesome. The indoor map text probably still needs to be done, though...

Since Kimbles told me that the place translations were wrong (I just grabbed them from the wiki), I've corrected them.
See the changes here.

What should I patch this to? Power? Speed?
